Introduction and Instructions
I’ve been where you are and know the kinds of challenges you face.
My wife and I made the “big transition” from our home of 3,400 square feet to an 1,100 square foot apartment. We’ve felt the loss you might feel, we’ve experienced the anxiety and doubts about the choices we made, we’ve lived with the consequences. And now we are thriving in our new home.
I want your move to be just as successful.
This page contains the videos and worksheets I've prepared to help on your journey.

01
Recognize
Understand what is changing and whether a move may be needed. Is it time to move? What is at stake if you stay or go?
02
Reflect
Decide what the next chapter should look like. You can't know where to go or when until you consider identity, priorities, relationships, independence, and desired lifestyle.

03
Reduce
Decide what moves forward and what finds a new home. This stage focuses on possessions, decision-making, and the practical process of reducing the household.
04
Relocate
Choose the next living arrangement and manage the move. Relocation includes selecting the destination needed. It may include modification of the present home, a smaller home, independent living, assisted living, or moving in with family.

05
Rebuild
Moving is not the end of the process. This module focuses on turning a new residence into a new home and rebuilding routines, relationships, independence, and purpose.
